Supporting EHC
Enjoying a gorgeous and VERY hot day at The Mountain Winery. Nonprofit, EHC, who raises money and awareness for the homeless. They offer job/training, shelter, education and a new beginning for people who need help getting on their feet again. Another great cause to support! We enjoyed wine tasting, chocolate (chipotle chocolate was my favorite) and became more informed on ways we could give back to the community. Pretty special cause!

If you haven't gone, you gotta go! Everyone woman who has creative interest
should get to experience this at least once! But it'll be hard to stay away once you've
had a taste! I'm already saving for my next one!!
The Magic Maker herself! Terri Brush, I just adore her
and hope very much to attend many more of her camps and classes.
For those of you who can't travel, sign up for her online classes. They are chalk
full of technique & the class selections are just delicious! But don't take my word for it,

I'm starting to gear up for an amazing and fully action packed weekend with Kristen Robinson and Ruth Rae May 3rd thru the 7th. I'm so excited to play again, so shortly after the tremendous Terri Brush Spring Art Camp...seriously, what more could a girl ask for ?! Friday, May 4th we have a trunk show at the fabulous studio I manage, A Work of Heart. We'll kick off with wine & goodies and amp up with original one-of-a-kind art by Kristen and Ruth. Saturday we will play big time and create gorgeous etched pieces and Sunday we'll get up at the crack of dawn to enjoy the Alameda flea market before a class at 2pm in which we do a breath taking mixed media sewing piece - I think I'm going to make a clutch with mine! Oh me oh my, it's gonna be another absolutely dreamy weekend.
...and I haven't forgotten to post my camp pictures of my final pieces, I simply haven't had time to finish them. I suspect it'll be after this weekend anyway:P But I promise, they're coming!

Well, it's been a whirlwind of a weekend, and I'm home...though not completely recovered. What an amazing experience Terri Brush's Art Camp was! I met some truly amazing and incredibly talented ladies...and had an absolute blast making beautiful things with my AWOH girls too. I'm so unbelieveably grateful for all my special and dear friends. Thank you all for making this weekend soooo WONDERFUL! And a special thank you to Terri Brush for her amazing camp/retreat!
I will be posting pictures very soon on our projects, just gotta catch my breath. But I'm off to work tonight, and will be teaching a quick class on embossing and patina'ing Vintaj charms. It'll be good fun.
Ta Ta for Now!

Lexi
